When my interior designer friend, Amy Kummer, approached me to create art for a one-of-a-kind dollhouse, my answer was an immediate YES.
The dollhouse, a true miniature masterpiece, was auctioned at an Après Ski-themed gala hosted by Petite Maison Gala. This annual event brings together talented creatives and generous donors to support a meaningful cause, with proceeds benefiting Family Houston, an organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities.
The dollhouse was a testament to exquisite design, capturing the cozy yet sophisticated style Amy is known for. My job was to create tiny yet, impactful artwork for the pink tween room. I scaled down one of my signature abstract landscapes upon my client's request. Creating the art and two hand gold leafed frames on such a tiny scale was a super fun challenge.
On the night of the gala, the dollhouse—along with seven other stunning creations—was showcased and auctioned to an enthusiastic crowd. Seeing my art as part of this collaborative masterpiece was a proud moment, but what made it even more rewarding was knowing that our hard work was contributing to a greater purpose.
Family Houston provides critical support to families in need, making our creative endeavor even more meaningful. This project reminded me of the incredible ways art can connect with people, even on a miniature scale. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful event, where creativity and compassion came together to make a difference.

PS: Fun fact .... the art was purchased by a family in my home state of Louisiana!!
